Walter Russell Mead is the Ravenel B. Carey III Distinguished Fellow in Technique and Statecraft on the Hudson Institute, a columnist for The Wall Road Journal, and the James Clark Chase Professor of International Affairs and the Humanities at Bard School in New York.
