SAN FRANCISCO — The board of Open AI, the maker of ChatGPT, stated Friday that it has fired co-founder and CEO Sam Altman after an audit discovered he “was not at all times candid in his communications” with the board.
“The board now not has confidence in his means to proceed to guide OpenAI,” the corporate stated in an announcement on Friday.
It has appointed Mira Moratti, chief know-how officer at OpenAI, as interim CEO efficient instantly.
